Covered in Danes
Not expecting any puppies
Their names were Emily and Paul. They had tried for many years unsuccessfully to have a child and I was expecting my first baby. It didn't seem fair ~~ How my heart went out to them! It was Christmas of 1990 and I entered their family room, and met their 'children', two of the most beautiful Great Danes I had ever laid my eyes on. I had never been this close to a dane before. Just one look, just one touch. That's all it took.
I am a 'big dog' girl! There's something about sitting in a chair and looking eye level at your best friend - or laying against the chest of a dog your own size. I absolutely love my canine children. Danes are not only extremely intelligent, but sensitive, poised, loving, 'in-touch', gentle, remarkable, loyal, playful, and just Plain Dane!
And what's so wonderful is that they never outgrow this-they just keep getting better with age!
